In 1987, after marrying his wife, Mary, at the Vatican in Rome, Eric was offered a highly sought-after position in New York City, chosen from more than 200 applicants. Despite the opportunity, he chose to stay true to his roots and open the first Eric Fisher Salon, introducing Wichita to the European salon model of advanced styling, assistants, and apprenticeship. As the salon flourished, so did Eric’s reputation as a stylist, educator, and entrepreneur. The success led to the opening of a second salon in West Wichita, a third in Derby, and most recently, the Eric Fisher Studio in downtown Wichita.

Throughout his distinguished career, Eric Fisher has earned countless industry honors, including two Global Business Awards in Spain and London and the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business. He has received the Jerry Gordon Leadership Award from the Chicago Cosmetologist Association, been named one of the Top 75 Educators of the Century and a Top 10 Living Legend by leading beauty industry publications, and earned more than 25 North American Hairstyling Award nominations as a hairstylist, photographer, and educator. He has also received numerous local and state business honors, including Best in Business.
